Troy Duffy is a charismatic American film director, screenwriter and former musician, born and raised on the East Coast. He’s best known for writing and directing what has become a cult-classic film, The Boondock Saints (1999,) which has been regarded as one of the most successful independent films of all time. Its sequel, The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day was released in 2009. The Boondock Saints vigilante-justice sagas have gained a tremendous, world-wide cult-following with a current total active fan base of 5 million and climbing. Duffy is in early talks to develop a television series and video game based on The Boondock Saints. The wildly popular franchise boasts a comic book series and has spawned a mobile game, various apps, a soundtrack and more. A decade ago, his band signed a deal with Lava Atlantic Records and released one album entitled Release The Hounds. He’s currently in the process of securing financing on his next feature film, Blood Spoon Council, a suspenseful serial killer thriller.
Troy believes in making the world a better place and paying it forward. He’s actively involved in the Los Angeles Mission charity and hosts an annual food drive as part of the LA Food Bank, helping those in need.
