About Our Presentation

Kindness Not Weakness (KNW) is a character development movement. It is a movement dedicated to demonstrating the honor of respect. KNW is about individuals taking personal responsibility for the impact of their decisions on self, others, community, society, and Earth. The brainchild of former perpetrators of hate and violence, KNW sets an example of genuine strength through a curriculum rooted in oral tradition common to every culture.

We recognize the truth that the community is better when everyone contributes. We are able to rise above adversity through engagement with others. Demonstrating transparency and accountability, KNW presenters and participants illustrate progress is possible through open and honest dialogue about destructive choices and our constructive change.

Anti-Bullying

Bullies are challenged to acknowledge that everyone has an inherent value equal to their own. Bystanders to bullying learn that everyone has the power to change their world by pursuing the virtue of kindness, which naturally leads to positive action. Victims of bullying are empowered with the truth that the community is better when everyone contributes, enabling them to rise above adversity by engaging with others. By practicing transparency and accountability, KNW presenters and participants illustrate that we can only grow if we are open and honest about both our negative choices and our positive change.

KNW Mentors

A growing roster of professional tough-guys—including NHL hockey players and UFC veteran fighters—complement the KNW storytellers who deliver the message of true strength through peaceful lives. Using their strength gently and exhibiting self-control result in living a life of peace and compassion.

What You’ll Learn

Program participants will take away an appreciation for the principle of embracing diversity. With genuine concern for all human beings, KNW reveals a path of knowledge that each individual counts, and positive change is not only possible, but also each of our duty.
