Dear Friend of Life After Hate,
We see trust in action every day. We see it within our team, where colleagues rely on one another to navigate complex, ever-changing situations (read more about that here). In times of uncertainty, we turn to those we trust, knowing that shared experience and mutual support guide us forward.
We build trust with our participants. Before we can even begin to help them in meaningful ways, we endeavor to build trust and rapport by discussing what brought them to LAH, how we can help, and by sharing common experiences.
That same trust extends beyond our walls, as we build and strengthen trust with you, our biggest supporters. You carry this mission into your communities and extend the reach of compassion with accountability. Your belief in second chances amplifies a message of hope: that transformation is possible, even in the darkest moments.
Together, we remind people that a better year lies ahead, especially when we stand up to hate, hold each other accountable, and extend compassion. We know individuals can move from hate and violence to stability, and ultimately to a place where they can truly flourish.
With Gratitude,
Heather and Shannon
